I usually work up something completely new for IF but this week's theme was too well-timed to pass up. Next week, I'm participating in a charity art show to raise money for the Girls Gotta Run Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that is raising money to buy running shoes for girls in Ethiopia. Why running shoes? Well, the young girls who train as runners bring prestige to their families, and in doing so, they can delay an arranged marriage, which can happen to girls when they are 12 or 13.
